Festival preparations Sep 27, 2009. Baklava prepared in our kitchens

What began as a parish bake sale in the 1960’s has become one of Tacoma’s most watched-for events.

Preparations commence in early spring with untold hours dedicated to schedule, committee work, baking,  and dance rehearsals prior to October.

During the three-day event, thousands of visitors pass through our doors to enjoy full dinners, appetizers, gyro sandwiches, and handmade baked goods, all with a Greek flavor.

At the same time, there is ample opportunity to sample and learn about our Orthodox Christian Faith, through church tours or purchases in our bookstore.

Decidedly, there is ‘something for everyone’.
