Groups at St. Nicholas
St. Nicholas has an active Greek dancing organization. You may have seen our
dancers perform at our annual Greek Festival. There is a young adult team as
well as a program for younger children. It's lots of fun for both the
participants and the audiences.
The St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Dance Group was formed in
1982 with 12 members participating. Throughout the past 27 years, over 70
children have learned the folk dance tradition of their ancestral
homeland. Our dance groups perform each year at the annual Saint Nicholas
Greek festival, The Annual Greek Taverna, and dance at other Parish events and
activities, as well.
One of the highlights for our young dancers is to
participate in the annual Diocesan Faith, Dance, and Fellowship.
